Temporary Holds Delivery Pause & Outside Book Drop Closure

Due to flooring installation on the Library’s lower level, where we receive delivery and retrieve book drop items, we will have to pause delivery and close the book drops beginning Friday, February 20, 2026 through Friday, March 6, 2026.
You may still place holds to pick up JPL items at JPL. You will also be able to place holds to pick up items at other BCCLS libraries. Items from other libraries will not be able to be sent to JPL, nor JPL items sent out to other BCCLS libraries during this delivery pause. If you need a particular item, please call the Reference Desk at 201-343-4169 x6, where staff will be able to assist you.
Since our book drop deposits items into the inaccessible lower level, they will be sealed shut. Patrons may therefore only return items to the Circulation Desk during library hours. Alternatively, patrons may return items to any other BCCLS library.
Please note that the Johnson Public Library has been fine free since 2019!
We appreciate your patience during this time. We are nearing the end of construction and can’t wait to show off the new spaces as soon as they are ready.
