The Johnson Public Library is a proud member of the 
Bergen County Cooperative Library System

BCCLS is a consortium of 78 public libraries in northern New Jersey. By county, there are 62 in Bergen, 11 in Essex, 4 in Hudson, and 1 in Passaic.

Because of JPL’s BCCLS membership, JPL cardholders can visit and borrow materials from all 78 of these libraries.  Cardholders can also request books and other materials from any BCCLS libraries and have them delivered to JPL or another local library for convenient pick-up.  

 

There are over 800,000 registered cardholders and over 5 million items held among all BCCLS member libraries, including 20,000 multilingual items.  

 

BCCLS also provides a variety of other services that strengthen JPL’s offerings, including technical infrastructure and support, centralized cataloging of library materials, and professional development opportunities for library staff.
