Kids’ Summer Reading Club
Monday, June 29 - Friday, August 7 for incoming grade 6 and below
Kids are welcome to join our annual Summer Reading Club by registering at tinyurl.com/JPLKids2026.
For every five books read and logged, kids will receive a special JPL Summer Reading brag tag. Keep track of the books read on paper logs available for pickup in the Children’s Room. Logs can be submitted to Children’s room staff.
Those that read and log at least 5 books by Friday, August 7th can pick up their complimentary book and certificate beginning on Tuesday, August 11th in the Children’s Room.

Teen Summer Reading Program
Monday, June 1 - Tuesday, August 4
for incoming grades 7-12
All students entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2026 (and 2026 grads!) can join us for an eventful summer.

Escape Room, Murdery Mystery, Video Games, Crafts, FOOD, and more - JPL has a summer of fun awaiting you, and everything is FREE!
You don’t have to attend every event to participate. Bring a friend with you or make some new ones! Visit our brand new Oritani Teen Room to sign up and you will receive your reading log and a game board of events to attend and activities to complete to earn extra points toward prizes.
Registration begins June 1 and continues throughout the summer, but register before June 30 to earn extra points.
Adult Summer Reading Program
Monday, June 29 - Saturday, August 8 for adults ages 18+
Participate in the Adult Summer Reading BINGO Challenge!
Stop by the Circulation desk when you complete a task on your board to have it marked as completed. Once you complete an entire row, column, or diagonal, fill out your information, cut out the entire page, and submit it for a single entry into our raffle. Complete the whole board to receive 5 entries! Only one board will be accepted per person.
We will be raffling off 3 prize baskets of equal value. Baskets will consist of items such as: JPL merchandise, gift cards to local businesses, puzzles, and books. Baskets will be given on a first come, first served basis.
All bingo boards MUST be submitted no later than Saturday, August 8th for consideration. Winners will be contacted via phone and/or email the following week.
