First Thursday Gallery Reception Featuring Shani Pleasants, Ellen June Wright, & Rhonyelle Sowell

Welcome to Visions and Verse. In the artists' words, "Visions and Verse showcases the phenomenal art of three amazing and talented women artists from New Jersey.  Rhonyelle Sowell captivates us by fusing acrylic techniques with modern mixed media influences creating a visual language that speaks to all. Ellen June Wright creates absolute dynamic images and she is known for her abstract expressionism. Shani Pleasants explodes on print and explores bold color, minimalistic form and introspective storytelling through graphic illustration. Their combined art is a statement of empowerment, strength and unharnessed creativity. Visions and Verse is complemented with an opening reception that includes inspired spoken word and poetry that is sure to captivate the JPL community."
