Children's Author Visit with Aya Shabarek

Join us in the Children's Room to observe Arab American Heritage Month! Children’s author Aya Shabarek will be reading her picture book, The Way We Read. This book aims to inspire a love of reading by showcasing various types of books, the different places where one can read and the many ways one can engage in reading. It acts as a simple and gentle reminder to our young readers that there is hardly ever a wrong way to read a book. This read-aloud will be interactive and children will be able to learn some words in sign language, feel the braille language and engage in a craft. The author will have copies of her book available for sale and signing. No registration is required.
